Our Story

Haus & Hearth was never really supposed to become all of this.

It began simply — as a creative outlet and a place for me to make beautiful things. Somewhere along the way, what started with candles became an exploration of fragrance, atmosphere, memories, and the quiet details that make a space feel like home.

And, admittedly, I have a hard time leaving well enough alone.

My taste has changed. My ideas have gotten bigger. Packaging has been redesigned, collections retired, formulas revisited, and more than a few things have been made, loved, and eventually reimagined. Haus & Hearth has evolved because I have, too. I think that's part of what makes it feel alive.

At the center of it all has always been scent.

I love the way fragrance can transport you without asking permission. A certain perfume can remind you of someone you haven't thought about in years. Woodsmoke can put you somewhere you've never actually been. Citrus through an open window can make an ordinary Tuesday feel strangely cinematic.

That is the kind of fragrance I want to create — not simply something that smells good, but something that feels like something.

I'm Armenian-American, and I grew up with an understanding that home is more than the place you live. It's the table. The people around it. The coffee that appears whether you asked for it or not. It's food, stories, hospitality, beautiful things saved for no particular occasion, and always making room for one more.

I think some version of that has quietly found its way into Haus & Hearth.

Interestingly, this little fragrance world has grown alongside a completely different part of my life: I'm also a registered nurse. The two don't have much in common on paper, which might be exactly why I've loved having both. One asks me to be practical and precise. The other lets me obsess over whether a label should move three millimeters to the left. Balance.

Over the years, Haus & Hearth has also given me something I never anticipated: community. Through markets, workshops, collaborations, The Foundry Cooperative, and the people who have brought my work into their homes, this brand became much bigger than the things I was making.

Today, Haus & Hearth is my interpretation of a life well lived: fragrance lingering in the hallway, a candle burning while dinner cooks, perfume applied before going somewhere — or nowhere — and objects that become part of the landscape of your home.

Nothing too precious.
